My old friend Ted, what happened?

I was shocked to read this today. Ted and Craig Sandler and Dave Sears and I were all good buds at Amherst High School and Ted was my neighbor in South Amherst. Same school bus stop. Ted and I would both obsessively comb our hair...and we both largely went bald! We may have combed it away. Ted worked on a Tolkien inspired fantasy book for a year or so in 1980 that must have been over 1000 pages. What became of that? Unbelievably I have not seen or spoken to Ted in 20 years. It can't have been that long. Treasure every moment. At least every other moment. Most of all my heart goes out to the family and especially his children who lost their dad.
