Daniel Goodhind, loving husband and father
PALMER - Daniel E. Goodhind, 58, of Bondsville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.
He was born May 21, 1952, in Northampton, son of the late Albert "Bucky" Goodhind and Anne M. (Cleary) Goodhind of Palmer. He was drafted during Vietnam and served his country in the U.S. Army.
Daniel was raised in Palmer and was employed as a locomotive engineer for the Mass. Central Railroad in Palmer for 12 years. He has worked for a total of 31 years for the railroad service.
Besides his mother, Anne, he will be missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Deborah L. (Olson) Goodhind; and three sons, Daniel J. of Syracuse, N.Y., and Michael A. and Kevin M., both of Bondsville. He also leaves four sisters, Elizabeth Banas of Southbridge, Debra Woods of Palmer, Anne Sampson of Three Rivers, and Amy Lucia of Bondsville.
The family invites everyone to join them in a celebration of Daniel's life on Friday, Sept. 17, at Amvets in Three Rivers from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. This is a casual event. The only ties allowed will be tie-dyes, just the way Danny would have wanted it.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Top Floor Learning, 1455 N. Main St., Palmer, MA 01069, or Greenpeace, 240 Elm St. #B, Somerville, MA 02144-2935. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. For online guestbook, please visit www.beersandstory.com.

oh no!
Please -- say it ain't so -- the Bradley/Amsetrdam flight was the best thing to happen to travel options around here in decades. I've used it several times, including a family emergency that otherwise would have required too much delay and too many connections. Please don't let this happen.
